This weekend in McCall, ID, I had my first ever picnic with Portland in Ponderosa State Park. We hiked through the forest and sat on the beach watching Osprey Circle. I recommend this city to anyone who loves the woods, mountains, and lake....it is just a enough mix of luxury and outdoorsy-ness for anyone.
It's my "undiscovered Tahoe" where you can rent a boat for the day and waterski and then stay at a mom and pop motel for $65/ night. Not a bad deal at all!The weekend was a great getaway- although no moose were spotted (I love moose spotting)!!
